Terms and Conditions
CurioQuest Training Terms and Conditions
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms & Conditions (“T&Cs”) set out the legal framework for all services provided by CurioQuest Training (“we,” “us,” or “our”) to our clients (“you” or “your”), as well as the terms for accessing and using our website. By booking or attending any of our services, or by accessing our website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these T&Cs.
2. Services Offered
2.1 We provide on-site training services, including but not limited to workshops, retreats, seminars, personal training sessions, and other training formats, which may change from time to time. All services are delivered in person, not remotely.
2.2 From time to time, we may offer free short online webinars for promotional or educational purposes. These are provided without charge and are subject to separate terms where applicable.
3. Booking And Confirmation
3.1 A booking is only confirmed once we receive the required payment or deposit, and you receive written confirmation from us.
3.2 You are responsible for ensuring that all details provided to us at the time of booking are accurate.
4. Fees and Payment
4.1 Full payment is required in advance for all workshops and personal training sessions at the time of booking.
4.2 Retreats and events – A 50% deposit is required to confirm a place. This deposit is non-refundable except where Clause 4.4 (cooling-off period) applies. The balance is due no later than 45 days before the retreat start date.
4.3 All fees must be paid in GBP unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4.4 Limited Cooling-Off Period – While the statutory 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply to our date-specific services (including workshops, retreats, seminars, and other scheduled training), CurioQuest Training offers, as a goodwill gesture, a 4 working days cooling-off period from the date of booking provided the start date of the service is more than 45 calendar days away.
During this period, participants may cancel for a full refund of any amounts paid.
– After this period, our standard cancellation policy (Clause 5) will apply in full.
– For bookings made 45 days or less before the start date, no cooling-off period applies, and the standard cancellation policy applies immediately.
5. Changes & Cancellations
5.1 Cancellations by You – Retreats: More than 45 days before the start date: deposit retained. 45-30 days before: 50% of the total fee payable. Less than 30 days: full fee payable. Participation in a retreat may be transferred to another person if notified in writing.
5.2 Cancellations by You – Workshops & Personal Training: No refunds for cancellations unless Clause 4.4 applies.
5.3 Postponements – We will accommodate rescheduling where possible. Rescheduling within 30 days of the event may incur additional costs.
5.4 Cancellations by Us – If we cancel for reasons within our control, you will receive a full refund of any amounts paid. Refunds will be processed within 7 working days.
5. Travel & Accommodation for Retreats and organised events
5.1 Travel and accommodation are the sole responsibility of the participant unless expressly included in the service description. We will always do our best to secure special rates for our attendees, but we are not responsible for any failure by a travel or accommodation provider to deliver its services.
6. Client Responsibilities
6.1 You must ensure you are physically and mentally fit to participate in the booked activities.
6.2 You are responsible for obtaining any necessary visas, permits, or other travel documentation, including proper insurance.
6.3 If booking on behalf of participants from another organisation, you are responsible for communicating these T&Cs to them.
7. Refunds
7.1 Refunds under these T&Cs will be processed within 7 working days unless otherwise stated (Clause 4).
8. Liability
8.1 We are not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or expense arising from events outside our reasonable control.
9. GDPR & Data Protection
9.1 We comply with UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. Any personal data provided to us will be used solely for the purposes of delivering our services, processing bookings, and communications.
9.2 Where refunds require additional processing steps involving third parties, such refunds may take longer than 10 working days.
10. Photography, Video & Recordings
10.1 Public Events (No Opt-Out) – By booking or attending our public events (such as retreats, seminars, roadshows, or other sessions orginised and promoted by CurioQuest Training), you acknowledge and agree that the event will be photographed and/or recorded and that your likeness may appear in images and video used for marketing, educational, and archival purposes, in print and online. Attendance at the event constitutes a waiver of any rights to inspect or approve such media or to receive compensation for its use.
10.2 Private Bookings – For privately organised workshops and retreats booked exclusively for your team or organisation, photography and videography for marketing, educational, or archival purposes will only be carried out with your explicit written approval.
11. Dispute Resolution
By making a booking with CurioQuest Training, you agree that in the event of an issue or complaint, you will first raise the matter with our Complaints Team (complaints@curioquest.co). We will follow our Complaints Procedure, acknowledging within 7 working days and providing a full response within 30 working days of receiving the complete complaint file (including any requested evidence). You agree to allow this process to conclude before pursuing a chargeback or other external solution.
12. Governing Law
These T&Cs are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
